Thinking about a Ruger SR22 or Sig P938 in .22lr. or ?? Dog walking gun, back pocket pistol, can't be bothered to holster-up type thing. Ideas invited...:)

If you're already cool with the SIZE of the P938, why not get it (or a Kimber Micro 9) in 9mm? Or at least in .380 (i.e. Sig P238 or Kimber Micro .380)?

Yeah...I have a Kahr pm9 that would fit that space, just fancied a .22. I could scratch 2 itches at the same time & find an old Beretta 71, a la Mossad :)

    ………..or maybe a DA .22 revolver with decent sights....so many choices :(

Beretta Minx in .22 short. One of my favorite mouse guns.

I've got a 3" LCRX in 22lr that is awesome. But, to be honest, I think I would have been just as happy, maybe more so, with the snubby version.

    I've always loved my P938.

Recently happened across a Sig P938-22-TB.
Threaded barrel was the icing on that cake.

Uncommon configuration. Looked for one at shows for a couple of years.
Most Sig dealers had never seen one.
    Happy shopping.

Love it for back jeans pocket!
I love my Beretta 21a in .22--also with a threaded barrel. But I much prefer that it is DA/SA versus the single-action of the Sig.

    ^ Glad you posted this.

Was looking hard at the P938 also, but prefer a DA in that size for a backup/walking the dog in the woods pocket pistol.

Liking the looks of that Beretta 21a.
Three dealers here in Hot Springs so hopefully check one out.

    And he's got a slightly-bigger brother too (Beretta 3032 .32ACP) . . .

I wear athletic shorts on my daily walk with the dogs, so I need the lightest one out there. I carry the Kel-Tec P3AT (maybe the 32 is lighter, I don’t know).

If only there was some kind of network of interconnected computers where one could find information...

Btw, the P3AT weighs 7.7oz unloaded, and the P32 7oz.

The Micro 9 I mentioned above weighs 15.6, and the P938 can't be too far off either. The Glock 42 is in the same range, weighing 14.36 oz loaded.

When it's time for the lightest, and I'm wearing athletic shorts, I'm all about the P32 with belt clip. It's about like carrying a folding knife.

So do I, currently a S&W Model 38 tucked into the elastic waist band using a Sticky holster. Total weight loaded is 18.2 oz on the nose.

Hasn't been a problem but looking to cut that down to around 12 oz, for comfort more than anything else ...
