San Antonio city ordinances about Guns

I'm sure that will be a great help in keeping crime from happening. Thugs go, "Oh wait, you gots to have a permit to open a gun store around heres! WTF does that have to do with us thugs?"

Well if they want to lessen gun violence maybe they should get rid of subsidized housing, utilities, and food. Then maybe send all of the hurricane refugees back to Louisiana and strengthen border security.

As far back as I can remember, San Antonio proper has been a simultaneous Jekyll/Hide city. Locals know and understand why this is, but apparently the city government isn’t willing to address those issues as that would be a direct contradiction to the city it wants to be known as.

Fifteen years ago Texas Monthly did a great write on why San Antonio government sucks so bad. To quote the article,

“Since term limits were put in place in San Antonio, in 1991, city government at times has resembled that of a banana republic: a toxic mix of corruption and ineptitude that makes good government difficult, if not impossible.”

That still rings true today. The city manager, Sheryl Scully, is the chief executive and has effectively ruled city policy since 2005 and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

When she gets replaced, you can bet your boots that it’ll be with someone even more ‘progressive’ and ‘reflective of the tolerance and diversity’ San Antonians desire.

Bockelman is probably the best of the worst on the council, unfortunately he’s just as impotent as the rest.

Don’t even get me started on Nelson Wolff.

A 30 second bit on WOAI this evening. More liberal crap. Brockhouse ( I think is his name) is the only one on the "committee" who seems to oppose it. For the VERY correct reason that criminals won't observe any ordinances
