Seeing as high-end match ammo can go up to the $150+ per 500 range, $85/500 isn't really that bad. In fact, some would consider that "practice ammo".

Saw some of that $100 brick ammo. Cabelas in Allen is loaded with it. They had the most Norma Tac rounds I've seen there, and must have had a couple hundred 100 packs of golden bullets. The rest was pretty pricey.

I think supplies are finally catching up again, it's nice to be able to go to just about any outdoors store and pick up as much as you want. I was at Cabela's on Friday and they had quite a bit of 22LR. Not the greatest prices on it, but plenty of it. Academys seem to have the best prices on 22LR, and they also seem to have plenty of it around here. Heck, even a couple Walmarts around here have it sitting on shelves once again.

.22lr is availible anywhere that sells ammo around here. Usually 3 or 4 brands/models available as well. Im pretty sure the crazy hoarders are eating the extra inventory they stock piled. I have enough to last me several years, but just cant resist buying several boxes of the agila SV when i see it! Maybe one day when I have 10+ years worth!!!

Now maybe 17hm2 will, one day, be availible everywhere!!! A guy can dream, cant he!

Stopped into Cabelas in Allen over the weekend. They have more 22LR than I have seen on shelves in a decade. Norma TAC bricks are $40, but the shelves are so full they have then behind the gun counter.

Pretty much every kind of 22 ammo, quite a few of the Golden Bullet buckets, and even a fair amount of sub-sonic rounds.

Worst price I ever saw on .22 ammo was at gander mountain. They had the ely/Remington match EPS for $39.99/50!! I actually carried a couple boxes to the checkout for a price check to verify the cost!! Needless to say, they kept them! This was right about the same time .22 was starting to hit the shelves again.

    Don't say I didn't warn you.

It was relegated to revolver duty. It's like the FIAT of .22's ( sorry, had to do it.)

They can keep the Win ammo. That stuff is full-on crap. I wouldn't trade it 10:1 for golden bullets. The Federals are great.

    And still better than thunderbolts!

I actually have a couple that like the Thunderbolts better than the golden bullets.

Well, if you are ever in the beaumont area, you are welcome to the 4 or 5 boxes I have. All my guns shoot them about as accurate as my .410.
