Finally made it out to Apache. Very big facility, tons of room for growth. Shelves were still plenty full for only being open a few weeks. Good selection of firearms. Mostly Sig, FN, SA, S&W, and Glock. Dealer for both Sig and Vortex optics. Small budding black rifle section. Quality parts and growth planned. Shop offering gunsmith services. Specializing in long range bolt gun builds.

On to the range. 8 bays to 25 yards. Anything allowed under 3600fps. Great ventilation and lighting. Cost is $25/hr and target included. Veterans get a rate of $15/hr. There are memberships available to lower costs for frequent shooters.

My overall impression is very favorable. Good range and a good store out here in the middle of nowhere. Couldn't ask for more. I was accidentally charged the normal rate but was given a free pass for my next visit once they realized I was a veteran.

Just saw a flyer for the grand opening on the 18th. Looks like it's being catered by Palenque Grill. That should be worth the visit right there.

Went to their grand opening. Very impressive place with lots of guns, employees (and an inhouse gunsmith), indoor gun range, and Palenque Grill catered with OUTPHOKINGTANDING food! Little pricey right now but I will go back.

I LOVE Apache! It is the Waring exit off I-10 in Comfort. I've gone out there at least 8 times so far and I'd go more if I lived a little closer. Super nice people, excellent lane set up (I love the two rooms - one with 5 lanes, one with 3) and just a nice, clean roomy facility. Paul (the owner) plans to have an outdoor area within the next year or so. He has helped me a ton with advice on general gun stuff and gear. They also have a MILO simulator that is fun.
