2001 'Burb had the motor go south. After and inspection, the system is a series of wire cables that took the place of the finger eating gear and crank assembly.
The lower nylon pulleys had begun to disintegrate and the cable was jumping off ... probably what caused the motor to fail.
5 bolts, 2 clamps holding the glass, 1 wire loom for the motor, collapse the assembly, turn it sideways in the door cavity and fish it out the monstrous hole the factory engineers left.
The reverse procedure was just as simple.
Took less than 30 minutes from beginning to end and $60 to rockauto.com
