I finally found a reliable shotgun for the short shells and a Magazine Extension.
I tried my Winchester model 1897 (1906) but 2 1/4" was the shortest that reliable worked.
The Ithaca model 37 was the same.(nothing shorter than 2 1/4")
My Remington model 11 would not cycle low powered shells.
Saw a youtube video about the one shotgun to reliably use 1 3/4" shells was the W1300.
I took a chance, bought one and it does work!!!!!!!!!!
Got the 3 shell extension kit.(seven 2 /3/4" normal shells in the magazine)
Put an IMPROVED CYL choke tube in to replace the FULL that came with the shotgun.
I got 15 mini/shorty shells to fit. (14 in the Magazine and one in the chamber)
I have been loading buckshot minishells in my LEE loadall II that I modified to fit the shorter shells I cut down.
