Drove in a group with this MR-S a couple weeks ago. It really impressed me.

Saw one of these today while getting dog the cheeseburger.

Superformance replica of the 62 Corvette Grand Sport. Five original lightweights were made before GM had them scrapped.

This is the first one I’ve seen in the wild and I want it. That’s saying a lot for a die hard blue oval guy.

That looks amazing. What's under the hood?

The power train options are cubic inch V-8s with manual transmissions.

Basic GM small and big blocks; carbureted or injected. Air conditioning, and electric windows are the only choices for upgrades, electric power steering is standard.

The one I saw today sounded like a big block w/carbs; surprisingly the cam profile wasn’t too lopey ...very smooth at idle.

    I would actually prefer a 1963 Z06, if I can dream:

Only 199 fuel injected Z06's were made.

Okay, I have been pretty impressed with the auto knowledge some of you have on here. It made me want to share this little bit from a run we made yesterday near Spring Branch. Gal we bought some chairs from had a lot of older cars sitting around. Most were pretty far gone. One I thought I recognized. I got up close to it and found it had a logo I didn't know:
I thought I'd ask you fellers if you know it. And, for extra credit, say what car it was attached to. The gal filled me in on its history and it was pretty interesting. I did a bit more reading on Wikipedia about it. Take a look and let me know what you know!

Why worse? After reading about it, I am a little intrigued. I wouldn't care as much for an automatic, but am guessing the manual would have been a hoot to drive? Yes, it's still a Chrysler. And I only know about K-cars...I don't know how Q-cars compare. Here's the link to the article I read:

It is a K-car, just different. If you like it, go for it. They are interesting in that it's an odd mashup of parts. You could take it to a Mopar show or an Italian show. Also get cool points for it at Radwood.

I didn't know a manual was an option; all the one's I've seen have been automatics.

Not interested enough to "go for it". I'd need a shop, tools, and a suitcase full of cash.
The Wiki article said " 500 cars were built with an optional drivetrain consisting of a Getrag manual transmission and a 16-valve head version of the 2.2 L ". That's not very many and I didn't look at this one close enough to tell.
The gal had a number of MG projects, too, if anyone is interested.
