Really good bait for catching those stingy females. They really suck on it hard and won’t let go. They sometimes will only get the rim but occasionally they will take it deep into their throat. When you do catch the males they always seem to be hooked in the wrong end but don’t seem to mind it too much.

    To All,

For those who find fishing "boring", come catch/measure/tag/release fishing for BIG sharks with us.

To date, the largest that we brought alongside to measure/tag/release was an over 14-foot Tiger (with a bad attitude) & a HUGE (I'm guessing > 1000 pound) hammerhead that tried to eat the Mercruiser outdrive on my buddy's 19-foot boat.

Note: One of our members saw & photographed an over 25 foot hammerhead last week. = She was longer than his 24-foot Chris-Craft.

Robert's comment was, "She looked like a submarine, as she cruised past but wasn't even interested in our live baits, DAMN IT."

    yours, satx

    Mohawk,

We use "marlin class" fishing gear OR saltwater trot-lines.
(The critters that get caught on a trot-line generally have recovered all their energy. = That often gets "really sporty" and/or downright DANGEROUS for the fishermen.)
