Just got home from "Pat's" in Henderson LA. Had wonderful crawfish bisque & potato salad. . . . . . .
We're driving through and getting a king cake from Keller's in Lafayette in a few days. I've heard they are good but this will be the first time we've had one from them. There's nothing like south Louisiana cuisine.

Many folks have their favorites. Some, like the original Gambino Bakery in N.O., have long waiting lines from 4:00 AM.

Please note that, while the "King Cake" closely resembles the Mexican "Rosca de los Reyes", our versions taste much, much different and better, with different internal texture. Gigantic sugar loads !

"Rouse Markets" are the world's largest vendors of this item, and have excellent quality with multiple options. These pastries are time-sensitive and do not "keep" well, at all. Never buy one for future use, they are to be eaten same day.

This time of year, "Mardi Gras Season", they are widely available.

Please tell me where you are coming-from and where you are going.

    Never had fish stick sandwiches.
Do you put tartar sauce and ketchup on it?
We just cook the fish sticks per the package. Put tarter sauce on hamburger buns, and about three or four fish sticks and voila, a fish stick sandwich!

Sometimes we use the fish filets as well.
