    San Antonio!
Oh, someone mentioned Magnolia for breakfast. Honestly, that's probably the biggest restaurant disappointment we've experienced in TX. Everyone loves it, reviews are great, and honestly I'd rather go to Denny's. I don't know what their secret sauce is, but Magnolia somehow found a way to make maple syrup thinner than water. Freedom toast was mediocre, same with the sausage. It's loud and you feel like you're being shuffled through a boot camp chow hall. Food is a very subjective thing, but it's shocking to me how many people actually like MPH. I'd rather have breakfast just about any place else.

I agree with you. Have been to Magnolia for breakfast twice and was underwhelmed both times. The eggs tasted like they were cooked in a pan where something was badly burnt beforehand, the pancakes were simply lacking in taste and even the coffee was disappointing. To top it all off, the place was crowded, loud (as you've noticed) and overpriced.

We would rather go either to Pancake Joe's where the food is much better, as are the prices, and it's a more relaxing experience. Sure, that place gets busy as well; but at least there is a reason for it. We won't go back to the Magnolia house again...
