This happened close to my job.
Idiot teens out egging cars hit the wrong car and he begins chasing them
(14 yo driver!). During chase the
Guy allegedly flashes a gun at teens who run a light, killing an innocent woman.
He keeps going. Cops have a description of him and his hooptie.
I'm not advocating what he did but I can understand (other than the gun part)
But it's his word against theirs and they're admittedly bad actors.
Worst case is he's a felon and he ditched the gun and denies it.

Fourteen year old driving? That’s a little young even for a hardship license, isn’t it?

Maybe he can claim Affluenza and get off like the other kid did (assuming he doesn’t run off to Mexico to eat pizza & drink beer with his mom).

Who is to say there really was a yellow Lincoln, or that he actually chased them to that incident? Maybe the guy chased them for a mile or so to get their license number, and then they wrecked out 5 miles later. Maybe the kids made up the yellow Lincoln to shift some blame. Maybe there is a guy painting his yellow Lincoln black today.

    Helotes!
Odd that no one mentioned the second driver--a Hispanic male in his late 20s--that allegedly displayed a semi-automatic weapon at the teens while they were fleeing. If proven (which will be tough without other witnesses), it would be in violation of Texas Penal Code §42.01(a)(8) "display(ing) a firearm or other deadly weapon in a public place in a manner calculated to alarm." It is not self-defense nor is it allowable deadly force in defense of a person.

As for the teens, they are up shit creek.
