I drove in from Kermit last night. My relief said power was still out in Kermit this morning at our office. Several of our locations reported hail damage to vehicles in Tx & NM. Damn, I got out just in time.

I'm about an hour from Kermit, I guess I got lucky. There was a little hail at the beginning of the storm here, but nothing that would have done much damage. With the winds hours before the storm, anything not tied down could have done some damage.

my weather station in Southwest fort worth reported gusts of 73 mph.. Glad I replaced the fence with steel posts last year that are buried 2 feet deep. My fence made it. Lots of folks didn't.
The winds here were fairly calm when I woke this morning, but now we're getting up to 50 mph. Not as bad as yesterday, but still not great.
