    With Strauss and Doo-Dooherst in office nothing will ever get done. Texas is way behind other states, and it really pisses me off that these two yahoos are the main reasons why. People need to wake up.

    SBRs, silencers and machine guns are legal here. Changing state law would not change the necessity to pay the federal tax.
    No, they are illegal, but you have a defense to prosecution if you have the stamp. It makes them effectively legal, but the difference is significant. There are other states that make no law against it at all.

    The above can be very, very important. One can get an "arrest record", without doing anything wrong. And, in many areas, it is impossible to get rid of an "arrest record", which will show-up any time any officer puts your name into his computer. So, one can look like a "career criminal" without actually doing anything criminal.

    States should counter by not enforcing Federal laws. Banks can wait for the Feds to respond when they are robbed unless somebody is shot.
