USPS suckage

Yep. Crap like that always seems to happen over a 3 day weekend. Sometimes they just out and out lie and say it wasn't deliverable because they couldn't access the front porch Saturday. Then it shows up in the mailbox on Tuesday.

What really sucks was before online bill pay. You bill doesn't come & next thing you know your paying a late fee because a letter carrier felt like trashing your mail & couldn't get it right.

Did USPS do away with bulk mail? I aint seen a pile of grocery store ads & other junk mail in a month!

No, we still get those every Tuesday.

The only thing I can recommend is to sign up for the "Informed Delivery" notification the USPS offers. That way you know you're getting the wrong mail before it's delivered.

Yes the informed Delivery works. It seems that they used to mess up 2 day mail from Amazon saying it was delivered and you get it the next day. Now that amazon delivers the stuff itself it gets here on time.

IIRC Amazon is build more distribution center across Texas
