I see them all the time & no place if free of them. For example the mini gun thread has the picture of the GE brings good thing to light. Never have I ever seen a mini gun with a scope like that mounted on them! The one I am around of sports a DI Optic

Today I was watching Mysteries @ The Museum and they were talking about Hemingway during WWII. The tell how Hemingway organized guys to take back the Paris Ritz Hotel. They then show their Hemingway character running around with a M-14/M1A. It went on about snipers (german I would guess) a M1 carbine was pictured

I guess 99% of the commercials on TV are for entertainment too. Not being part of their demographics has long been my problem.
