The primary goal of this section is for instructors to share their training methods, techniques, qualified opinions, and general overall knowledge to other instructors. Throughout world history, the art of war has been passed down from generation to generation, typically by other warriors mentoring younger ones. That's what this section is about. A melting pot of ideas, weed out the bad ones, keep the good ones, improve the art. I firmly believe that a majority of us are good people, and are only doing what we feel is the best for our students. The differences are usually a matter of technique, different opinions from different personal experiences. Lets all try to have intelligent discussions, respect everyone's viewpoints, and look at the facts. In scientific or medical professions, usually the highest form of obtaining legitimacy is having a product or study evaluated through peer review. This section can serve as our peer review.

What I would like to see us avoid is propagation of unsafe techniques, disproved techniques, myths, things not based in fact or science. Bottom line, it's 2012, there has been a whole hell of a lot of development in the professional firearm training world over the last several decades. There are certain things we now know through scientific studies and factual data like general ballistic wounding factors, what various fundamental techniques (grip, stance, etc.) offer identifiable performance advantages with various firearms, etc. Bottom line, we see you pushing nonsense here, your time will be short in this section of the forum. There's no reason to waste anyone's time here pushing nonsense like poor quality ammo (Glaser safety slugs, RBCD, etc.), ridiculous firearm shooting techniques (the list is endless, unsafe, or negligent techniques), etc.
