I see a defacto statement on the premier website:
    NOTICE

You may bring your gun to the show – it must be unloaded, checked by the Police Officers at the entrance, and tied with a plastic tie.

Anyone know if this would still be enforced at the Bastrop PUBLIC Convention center for Texas LTC holders?

I am yet to find a gun show in the past 30 years that does not enforce that rule. Of course it is easily ignored for handguns and such.

    Concealed is concealed.

That said, the process isnt really intended for one to present and unload a carry weapon then reholster. It's for sell or trade guns and they should be unloaded first. Ofcourse all guns are always loaded so the guy checking the gun will clear it again.

I will say in over 50 years of gun shows, or similar events in the early days, I've seen a half dozen or so "oh sheits" followed by either paramedic or police escort out. It's always seasoned gun folk who think it will never happen to them. Every time it was a vendor handling guns that were "checked" prior to entry. The weak link is the vendor inspection process, which is anything from check your own to buddy check to actual inspection by staff.

Again a concealed gun that isnt finger phucked and in the holster is safe. YMMV

I've been to several gun shows in public buildings with unenforceable 30.06 signs. There were no metal detectors or searches.

Just came from Bastrop show and they were checking guns being in carried for sale but don't think they were checking concealed carry.

Went to the HGCA show today in Houston. They had a 30.07 sign in front, but no 30.06. The did have the standard "All firearms must be unloaded" sign with HPD securing weapons. I took the approach that without a 30.06 sign, I was fine with my pistol concealed (as much as you can conceal an FNX-45). I'm quite certain I printed a time or two, but nothing was said and the pistol stayed put in its holster.

The Texas Gun and Knife Shows at the Abilene Civic Center (next one, 18-19 May) actually...follows the damn law. The venue cannot be run 30-06 as it is a city owned building and they don't play the game of "oh, the VENUE is not allowed to be anti-gun, but the SHOW is renting the venue and is thus a different entity" game.

She just asks that you keep your gun in your holster unless someone needs shooting. Seems fair, and legal under the horrible infringements on the clear text of the 2nd Amendment that the Democrats ruling over Texas enforce on the peons of Texas.

Punish bad actions, not...everyone...but I digress.

Otherwise, concealed means concealed, and damn well man up and act like Texans even if our ruling class does not.

I thought the Market Hall signs were legit by TX Law. That said, concealed, no one is gonna ask or check. The issue comes as already stated that some of these people intend to sell it or buy a holster for it and then the next sound you hear is.............bang. Gotta protect the masses from the stupid.
