Most that complain do not look at there overall tax rate and just look at MY REFUND is less I must have paid more.

Remember in a lot of cases your paycheck increased because less was withheld.

Both my take home and refund increased.

My check went up about 100 bucks a month and my return was within 100 bucks of last year.

I don't mind the government holding a nice chunk of change I can turn into a new major appliance or dump into retirement and not have to hold out some or pay it at the end of the year with interest rates at .1% to me its not enough to worry about and try to hit right on the nose

Both my take home and refund increased.

    Chase? bank, person or pet?
Like Cliff said, my kid, in whom I am very proud.

For perspective...the guy with no legs, his first born is named Chase.

Before he was a hippie pic...:green:

I don’t know how they would end up paying more, but I do a pretty simple return. Maybe they were in the “don’t actually pay anything in but expect to get some back” crowd. Don’t think that group got any “savings” out of it.

I think Texans and others that don't pay state income tax as a whole did OK. The SALT cap of $10,000 when itemizing is what hit a lot of people. That combined with witholding tables being restructured and people not adjusting for that are biting them.

Standard deduction went from 12K to 24K.

    You may be very wise.
    Pot makes me feel stupid.
Maybe it could now make me feel prosperous?

Everything's ready for my accountant BTW!
Man... the writing is on the wall. All in time. It's gonna happen in America. There was already a surge from Canada. If a wise man can be patient.. there will be 2x or 3x on returns in the next 2years.

    Sure it’s just the pot?

I have no idea how it would make me feel. Truly have never partaken and not interested in doing so.

    Gauntlet recognized and accepted.

I have a getaway place in CO.
Multiple strains, subspecies and delivery routes of cannabinoids investigated. I'm my boss so drug testing a non-issue.

    Pot?
Just NOT my thing, as I simply do not like the presentiment of loss of cognitive control.

Though I do think Texas should legalize it and tax it to extreme levels as a hedge against volatile hydrocarbon prices.
