Suppressor Law Question

A buddy of mine invited me on a predator hunt in a few weeks. 4 man team... he's the only one without a suppressor. Can he use one of mine as long as we are hunting side by side? I will have my stamps with me also.

I believe the requirement is for the stamp-holder or "Responsible Person" to be physically present, so the only potential issue might be if you were to become inadvertently separated.

If using a Trust, there may be an option to temporarily add them as a Responsible Person for the duration of the hunt, but not sure how much effort may be involved with that.

ETA: may be slightly off-topic, and likely not saying anything you didn't already know, but would recommend checking alignment/threading of any potential host(s) before agreeing to mount a can on someone elses rifle...

Op, if the rules say an ffl 07 with an sot2 can let another test or shoot a post 86 as long as said person is present, I can’t see the suppressor being an issue.

Yes it is legal. I've done it twice with two different people (used their suppressors while they were present). It also applies to other NFA items, like fully automatic weapons and SBRs.

That is how Joe Blow can show up to a gun range and rent a fully automatic AR15 and shoot it.
