IIRC, it does not store real well. It has a limited shelf life. And there are variables to how much is given, if at all.
I would suggest lots f research.

    Best options;
    1. Don't get bit.
    2. Even if you have the stuff to treat the bite, seek immediate medical help. You will need it.

If you get bit, kill the snake and take it with you to the emergency room.
They won't treat you till they know for sure what bit you.

A rattlesnake can reach half its length on a strike. That figure is with it standing up all pretty while making noise. Out stretched snake doesn't have that much reach. It's hard to miss a rattlesnake.

Driving to work at a prison. I use to collect rattlesnakes on the way out. Fort Stockton. The temps would drop and they'd slowed down on the dirt road. I rigged a cable loop using some pvc pipe. Picked them up and stuck them in an ice chest.

Get off work. Sleep, Skin snake. Fried.

Blood test have to be done to know how much to administer.
Trying to give yourself the right amount of antivenin would like like tying to give yourself enough chemo to fight a cancer.

IF you could ever get ahold of some, and IF you could store it, you could end up killing yourself trying to save yourself.

A friend was bitten by a rattlesnake and not only did he have the standard reaction to the toxin, he had an allergic reaction on top of that. Guess what? When they administered the anti-venom, he had an allergic reaction to that, too.
He survived, and they saved his arm, but the "paddles" got quite the workout in the ER that evening.
So there's something else to think on.

Cell phone or two-way radio. Barring those, a flare gun and orange/red/whatever color smoke.

I'm done, Sandy. I'm all screwed up. I’m snake bit. They're everywhere. I'm sitting on a ZSU. They're using me for bait.

Do it, Sandy. Lay it in on me, man. I'm popping smoke.”

I watched a few episodes of that Doc in S. California that specializes in snake bites. By the time they knew if it had venom or was a dry bite, the patient was way past self medicating.

My buddy got bit by a rattlesnake, the ER administered 25 doses of antivenin at $5k per...the drugs billed to his insurance company came to nearly $150k.

I’m not so sure something you can pack into a first aid kit is gonna be all that effective...

Here is a news article worth your read: https://www.kxan.com/community/heal...uch-itll-cost-you_20180227104754996/994758888

Generally speaking, you can store it at most temps for up to about 12 mo, but it is recommended it be stored refrigerated. It is very costly running about $2500 per vial for human grade. My dog got hit by a rattlesnake and I bought 9 vials @ $500 per.

Not unusual for a rattlesnake bite you cost $50k...

We had 2 or 3 dogs in our backyard bitten by rattlesnakes when I was a kid in Kingsville.
They could have been dry bites, but there was always swelling. They all lived.
