    Who's in? I love it.

Noticed the last year or so some brands coming in smaller boxes/packaging than the traditional size. At first I was unimpressed because it didn't go with the normal size of my lot and didn't fit as far as stacking/storage. But now I get it and wish they all were smaller, if nothing else, for space in the interest of storage in this era of cheap ammo and padding our stock.

I've attached a couple pics of Blazer Brass (one of my favorites) and some Magtech 9mm......both 50 rds. of 124 gr. 9mm. Have some Fiocchi I just bought that's the same size as the Magtech and lots of Federal AE that's the same size as the Blazer.

I like the reduced size. Less storage space. What's not to like?

I just ordered a case of 9mm Fiochi. It's been a while since I ordered a case, and was surprised at how small the package was. I actually counted the boxes to make sure there were 20 boxes in there.

That's one thing I like about Fiocchi ammo, it comes in more compact boxes. American Eagle, also good ammo, comes in huge boxes. Well, relatively huge. The smaller size box does make it easier to store them in .50 cal ammo cans. I have some Fiocchi that is in the larger boxes too, so maybe it depends on where it's manufactured, Italy or the US.

    That place east of Waco....
I've always liked how S&B packaged their ammo in smaller boxes. Glad to see others following in their footsteps.

However, I hate the trend of packaging centerfire ammo loose in cardboard boxes. Way too haphazard and messy for my tastes.

Next up for cost savings: ammo put in ziplock bags by manufacturers.
The last Blazer I bought was for the recent rebate. Half case size, loose pack. Pretty tiny dang box I tell ya. About the size of four standard boxes.

I ordered 500 rounds of 300 Black Out from Modern Arms International, and that's how it came, big plastic bags of 250 each. Seems to be good ammo tho. I repackaged it and vacuum sealed it in 50 round bags.

Also, Georgia Arms sends their ammo in heavy plastic bags.

    Gunz are icky.
I prefer the more compact packaging for storage.
SIG Elite 10mm ammo comes in a huge honking oversized plastic insert and box. Usually transfer it to more compact plastic 100rd lidded case for storage.

I love it. Fiocchi 9mm comes in tiny little boxes, but stuff like speer lawman is freaking huge. If all you have is a few boxes, it doesn't matter, but after a few cases...
