Sightron SIII SS 10x50x60

I have the opportunity to buy a Remington Model 700 SPS Tactical .308 Winchester Bolt Rifle. It comes with a Sightron SIII 10x50x60. Not sure of the exact model number as I've only seen pictures of the rifle. I could probably get this rifle for about $700 including the scope.

Trying to do some research on the scope. Amazon has them for $1000 range. Is that right? Anybody have one and could educate me?

Sightron makes good scopes for the money. Most I have seen with this model say they would not buy it again as it gets fuzzy at the higher end of the magnification range, and you don't get to use it much above about 25X or so as the mirage gets to bad. That being said you could always sell the scope and use that money towards something else if you don't like it. Also you are correct, it is a $1,000+ scope.
