Yeah, last one I saw went for about 1700. They’re rock solid, compared to the flimsy plastic peq2, peq15, and peq16’s. I’m done messing with those. Once they break, they’re done, there’s no sending them in to get fixed.

$1,700.00 is less then I paid for mine, but they had just come out & were not readily available to civilians. I ever tell you the story about the FBI showing up at a shop in Houston that bought stolen PSQ-18A.

The owner told be he bought a bunch of stuff of E-bay to the tune of $18K IIRC. Turns out every thing was stolen U.S. Government Property. FBI gave him x amount of days. They didn't care about what he sold it all had to come back.

Something else about IR Lasers that few know The FDA regulates them.

Hell I paid more then $1.700.00 for mine many years ago.

I ever tell you about the Houston shop the FBI came seen about the PSQ-18A & other things. The owner told me the story about how he had been buying all kinds of "surplus" off of e-bay including the PSQ-18A's. Turned out everything this guy was stolen military property & the FBI gave him x amount of days to get it. They didn't give 2 shits what he sold.

You also know that the IR lasers are regulated by the FDA?

My Husqvarna Model 46 in 9.3x57mm Mauser.

IIRC, it's made from a Swedish Mauser circa 1943, so it's cock on closing which I really enjoy. The scope mount came with the gun, and the damn thing appears to be welded to it. The rail is some oddball European style that won't accept weaver or picatinny style mounts and the mounts that do fit it are rare and expensive in the US. I found an adapter meant to convert .22 rails to weaver rails, and made it work after a bit of filing. It seems to be holding on just fine. It's a bit higher than I'd like, but it's usable. I've been wanting to make a leather cheek riser for it, but haven't gotten around to it yet. The scope is a Weaver K4. It didn't seem right sticking a modern scope on a nearly 80 year old rifle, and the K4 is surprisingly clear. Even compared to modern stuff, it's pretty good. The nice thing about the side rail mounted scope is that the iron sights are 100% usable.

It seems to like this best.

It's a 285gr cast bullet, and hits 2116 FPS right out of the muzzle. It doesn't lead at all, and actually shoots tighter groups than the 270gr soft point Speers that cost about $20 for 50. It gives you a good kick, but it's not horrible. It's a bit more than a 30-06, but it's less of a jolt and more of a push. I can reform 30-06 brass to 9.3x57mm pretty easily, so reloading for this gun is cheap. It's probable about $0.30 per round.

That's a sweet rifle! You need to go shoot some african game with it even if it's here, & under a high fence!

I'd love to do something like that, but boy is it expensive. I'll stick to deer and hog for now.

That's why I shot mine in Africa. I told my africa hunting partner we should go to the Y.O.'s game auction & buy an eland just to have it processed into meat.
