Last year I traded a Gun Smith a DPMS AP-4 .308 AR for some "work" on a 1st Generation Colt Delta Elite. The intent of the work on the pistol was to make it like a retro MEU SOC 1911 but in 10 MM.
I think Chuck Warner hit it out of the park! New sights, ambidextrous safety, in-house hammer and match barrel, blued and parkerized finish, King Old School Barrel Bushing, and tweaking the internals; making not only a good looking, but a functional carry piece. Chuck regulated the sights for a 25 yard center; I'm not a precision bullseye shooter but at 25 yards the first time out I put 9 of 10 rounds in the 9 and 10 ring!
