Julie Clark was Medina Co. GOP chair and was instrumental in writing up the censure of Tony Gonzales. Her votes will not swing toward Gonzales.

Abbott meanwhile made good on his threat to punish Republicans who opposed his school voucher plan to allow parents to use tax dollars to pay for private education. In 14 state legislative races where he endorsed against an incumbent or in a race with an open seat with no returning member, six of his candidates won and five others headed for a runoff. Just three lost.
