Rabbits & Hares around DFW

Anyone know any good place around DFW within 75 miles where I can go hunt some rabbits hares ?

my back yard!?! The little buggers used to keep the beagle busy but I have not seen one in a couple of years. Maybe the beagle, the coyotes, and the hawks took care of them all.

Seriously, I have no idea of a good place to do any rabbit hunting.

They are not considered varmint but there is no closed season on them.

BTW, our only true hare in Texas is the jackrabbit. Don't bother hunting one for the pot. If you like to eat wild rabbit, the cottontail is fine.

Beat me to it, Rabbit is good to eat. Hare is not good to eat.

I don't think I could shoot anything that I wasn't going to eat or as population control (hogs). Not a big fan of killing animals for sport.

There is hardly a shortage of jackrabbits and a lot of farmers like myself do consider them a pest.

Plus they are great sport to shoot. I'll take care of your share.
