    my back yard!?! The little buggers used to keep the beagle busy but I have not seen one in a couple of years. Maybe the beagle, the coyotes, and the hawks took care of them all.

    Seriously, I have no idea of a good place to do any rabbit hunting.

    Was not able to find the correct on tpwd website. Are rabbits hares considered varmint thus can be hunted year round ?

    BTW, our only true hare in Texas is the jackrabbit. Don't bother hunting one for the pot. If you like to eat wild rabbit, the cottontail is fine.

    Jackrabbits are a lot of fun to shoot when they are in a full run. Hones your shooting too.

    I don't think I could shoot anything that I wasn't going to eat or as population control (hogs). Not a big fan of killing animals for sport.

    That's fine. I'm hardly PC about anything what so ever.
    There is hardly a shortage of jackrabbits and a lot of farmers like myself do consider them a pest.

    Plus they are great sport to shoot. I'll take care of your share.

    Don't guess I'll be seeing you around Prairie Dog towns either ?
