Thanks to the Freedom of Information Act, this article reveals that a conspiracy beginning at the Portland School District Board down through the individual school administrators, organized, planned and funded the so called student protest against guns last March. Nice to know that San Francisco North is taking care of the kids' education so they can become true Socialists.

Not sure I really care about all the emotionalism involved with the reporting. But I would care about the actual taxpayer monies spent. So when the report says the school board “funded” the protests, how much public money was spent? (Assuming the local citizens don’t want their educational tax money, being spent to organize political protests).

I would consider that to be a misappropriation of public funds. And a lawsuit could be brought to recoup that money. However, the only tangible thing mentioned in the news article was apparently a programmer’s time to reprogram the class time alarm bells.

And the local citizens haven’t even stepped up to support a proposed lawsuit to prevent such a future occurrence. So if the school district board is reflecting the ideas and opinions of the local citizens, I see no conflict. They‘ve simply chosen to empower the First Amendment and not support the Second Amendment.

That might be a sad situation from our point of view, but the local taxpayers should have control over how they want their tax monies spent. (And if they’re okay with the school board spending their budget that way, then it is, what it is).

I don’t know what community this is, but apparently not ALL citizens agreed this was the way they wanted their sixth-graders to spend the day.
He says, “What are you teaching them?”
