I admit it.....a LOT of highway driving is in the 100mph range. It just runs sooo good right there.

Middles of my tires wear out first <rolleyes>

What have you done to cruise at 100mph?
Don't you have a speed limiter on your truck?

One of the first things I got for mine was a programmer, to raise the limiter.

I dont know where that Armada is limited at. Runnin about 2200 at 100. Had it up to 120, never bumped off the limiter.

Had a 96 SS that would bump at 150 though...:green:

    That's odd.
Most newer vehicles have speed limiters tied related to the tires, at least this was my understanding.
I never topped out my 996, only time I tried I had to back off at 167. Of course the tires were speed rated.

I never topped my Daytona 955. My kid got stopped on it one day at 172. I had it to 142 one day and it started to peel me off (Im too big for that)...that was all I could stand...:green:

It's probably less than the 955 if stock.
I had a Bandit and I think they were comparable.
    Yessir....but it wasnt stock...:green:

Admittedly he tells me that the ZRX starts on the downward curve beyond 120 and that the Daytona was just coming into its own at that point.

My previous F450 limited out at 87 mph because of the tire ratings (19.5" rims).

Not that I traveled that fast often while pulling my trailer but it did cause some issues while trying to pass.

    Just damn miserable.

Guessing the current F350 is limited to 98 mph.

    Yup.
Two versions of the same car can even have different speed limiters, depending on the tires fitted. E.g. all-season tires (popular in most of the country) versus summer performance tires (popular in So Cal).
