New from GA

Hey there,

Im new to the site as I recently moved to TX from GA where I did a fair bit of trades, Im mostly into milsurps these days but occasionally take the modern toys to the range.

In GA there were no restrictions beyond the federal so no requirement of FFL transfers or bills of sale. What are the laws in regards to personal sales of guns in Texas like? and also what is the etiquette most members here follow in regards to Bills of sale? are they assumed or not? I generally dont care either way if its not a legal requirement but it was a touchy subject for many traders back in GA?

A personal bill of sale isn't required in Texas. Many here may want a bill of sale and many also only sell to LTC holders, but it's not a requirement of the law.

Yeah same thing in GA, so much so that the classifieds require sellers to specify if they want a BOS.
