    Middle of no where
Had some time to kill before date night so hit the pond for about 45 minutes.
Ended up with this healthy female while looking for crappie. The crappie beat me today but I'll take a 2lb bass anyday over a skunk.

    EZ-E,

My favorite "crappie fishing" story was one afternoon late, I was slow-working a pair of black & white feather jigs in the weeds on the edge of Oliver Lake when LIGHTENING stuck.

25 minutes later, I netted a 38# buffalo. "One H of a fight" in a light spinning rod/open-face spinning reel, I tell you.
(I wonder what possessed a buffalo to hit a feather jig??)
I still don't know how I got him in on 6# line.

    yours, tex
