I have someone offering to trade me their Lionheart LH9 and a Webley&Scott 612 tactical for my Riley Defense AK. I don't know much about the pistol or shotgun, so I figured I'd see what you guys may have experience. At the moment the offers are:

    Give me shotgun plus cash.
    Pistol for straight trade.

An ok trade. The Riley defense rifles aren’t highly desired by serious ak guys. But in terms of new and used values, it’s actually an ok trade.

It’s probably more an issue with having a shotgun not much aftermarket is compatible with. Who knows. If it was an auto loader I’d say sure it’s probably trash, but it’s a copy cat Turk pump more than likely. Can’t be any worse than a Stevens, hr, or escort.

I am just trying to figure out how I missed the ad for the AK.

I try to stay as local as possible when selling or trading guns. I've gotten tired of, "Can you meet me halfway?" Followed by, "I only got half your asking price." Once you get there. I made an exception last summer when I traded a Taurus for a CZ but that was too good to pass up, plus only a 30 minute drive.

Generally dealing with longstanding forum members you don't have those issues.

    Generally.

But it never hurts to try.

Being that I am somewhat in the middle of nowhere I expect some travel if I am making a deal.

    I get it though.

That being said I also find I get better offers if I put a little work into deals.

Yep, did it. Gotta admit, I'd do it again too! Check it out here https://www.texasguntalk.com/threads/made-a-trade-yesterday.87253/

I was speaking more as a generality than directly about this site. I've never done business through this site, but I'm sure everything would run smoothly. My experience is more with selling, buying, and trading online through other avenues on the internet. They have been more of a nuisance than a help.
