Telling people to not carry while driving because a Peace Officer could stop them and order them out of the car and then bust them for unlawful carry is just ignorant and silly.

Based on my past experiences; I would take the Texas course & apply immediately.
Then, I would carry when necessary EXCEPT while driving.
Keep your “old” but in-date Michigan license or a good copy on your person.
