I don't have any experience with them but I don't hear great things about their accuracy. Now this comes from long range shooters and one hole group shooters so take it with a grain of salt.

What caliber and what are your intentions for the rifle?

I am thinking 30.06 or a 300 Win Mag. This would be for hunting elk. I am leaning to the 300, wish I would not have sold my Browning A Bolt.

I wasn't impressed with what many say about the accuracy and trigger. It at first was in my interest, but it seems there are better in the price range.

Not sure what you want to spend, but for under $1,000 I really like what I've learned about the Bergara B14, there are several calibers. Hopefully I'll get one in my hands before buying.

    Does anyone own or
have experience with Mossberg rifles, in particular the patriot series? Any pros or cons?
I got one once and traded it. I was really excited. Once I got it I noticed the lack of...quality for everything.

I view them as decent introductory rifles for new shooters......If you are used to shooting an A Bolt, you will be disappointed.....

    jmho....

+1 on looking at the Bergara line....

I've got a great one. A classic at least. Chambered in 30-06 with a Fajen replacement stock.
Probably about 50 years old, shows honest wear, but ready to hunt.
