That’s why I open carry an unloaded gun and have a Beretta 92 taped to my back

    Also situational awareness is imperative

I regularly see people not paying attention while open carrying in home improvement stores. It’s usually obvious they are OC for comfort while working on a project. However they appear pretty vulnerable when loading or unloading materials.

With that utter lack of awareness of what was going on around him, he’s lucky he wasn’t brained with a rock or club and his holster, gun (in it) and wallet taken!

Some idiot shits his pants, and now everyone has to wear diapers?

A pistol lanyard would have also prevented this from happening, should we wear one of those as well?

Retention holders are no guarantee that a weapon cannot be taken.

A retention holster on a shitty belt is also useless.

This discussion is getting as old as bills of sale...

Just like rank, carrying a firearm hath its responsibility.
    That was totally irresponsible.

Interesting he chased the guy so he could get shot at.

Also would have been a better idea to back the car in the driveway so his back was to his house, not the street.

For all we know, he was fixing to drive off and noticed a dzus fastener was loose in the door panel, so he got out to fix it.
