Bought my wife a Mac Book Pro and I have no idea how to use this thing! Is there any good videos on getting familiar with how this thing works? I was told by many people that Macs are more user friendly, but so far I am lost!LOL

I just picked up a 15" MBP, and I absolutely love it. I've been using the iPhone and iPad for a while now, so the gesture thing is fairly intuitive. I doubt I'll ever go back to a PC.

So far I wouldnt put too much weight on anti-virus but it doesnt hurt. the reason is because not a lot of hackers focus on Mac, but it doesnt mean it doesnt happen.

I switched to a Mac 18 months ago and haven't looked back. It's second nature now so I kind of take it for granted. Are there any specific tasks or functions you're used to with Windows that you haven't been able to figure out on the Mac?

As OSX becomes more and more prevalent, the malicious hackers are targeting the Mac operating system more and more. The days of OSX being free from worry are probably over. While I don't run antivirus software 24/7 like I did on my last Windows machine, I do use ClamXav on my Mac to periodically scan for infections. It's free. ClamXav

By owning an Apple product you can simply contact an Apple store and get an appointment to go on in and get professional training with a Mac Genius. Really great company, congratulations on buying a quality product - I'm jealous. :)

I've been running windows virus protection free on a completely open network of probably 400 stations for 3 years.
It has been part of my experiment. No viruses yet...

I'd add that the reason I use two antivirus products with my Mac is because my Mac is my internet computer, but most of the work I do whether it's word processing or photo editing is done on a Windows laptop. Since any internet content that I copy from my Mac can be transferred to my laptop I want to ensure that no Windows-based malware is hitching a ride. So far I've been using my Mac three years and not a virus or other malware in sight......knock on wood....

I just upgraded to a MB Pro at Christmas. It is so simple to use its ridiculous. I don't even use an external mouse anymore. Once you learn all the keyboard gestures its so intuitive it's just ridiculous.
