Keyless entry fob locks the doors without being touched.
I sat it on the tailgate while I was walking the dog. I heard the clunk. Yep doors are locked. Loaded up the dog, sat in the driver's seat. Put the key in the ignition but didn't start the engine. Grabbed my phone to make a call. Clunk, doors locked.
Pulled it out of ignition, hit the unlock button, laid the fob on the dash, buttons up.
    Clunk, clunk, clunk........

Nope. It's just sporadic. It did a lock cycle 4 times in 2 seconds.
Even when the door is open.

    Oh.
I replaced the fob battery in August.
This condition started two days ago.

    ^ Very likely this.

Love my 2013 RAM, but that damned key fob, and the computer that it runs, is a constant PITA.

If I have the audacity to roll the right front window down, it will only be a day or two before I have to go to Settings and re-configure the lock settings so that ALL the doors will lock with one press ... suddenly ONLY the driver's door locks.

Usually starts its shenanigans in a parking lot where you are then forced to then walk around and lock the other three doors individually.

Dealer might have a firmware update in your case ... but beware that might just break something else.

Pull the battery out of the key fob and let it sit for a few minutes before you put it back in. Had to do that periodically on the Dodge I drove for a while. Otherwise it did all kinds of crazy things.

THAT sounds like the quickest, easiest possible solution. Please let us know if it works? (Nothing ever goes that easily for me when it comes to electronics) :(

And it locked itself while the last response was posting.
    And just did it again.

Remember when you had key locks on all the doors? Gotta love technology, think of all those seconds you've saved.

It locked twice while I was taking this picture. The metal disk from the button came unglued and is making contact completing the circuit.
I need some cleaner and some glue.

90% alcohol and q-tips. Clean all the contacts and discs. A touch of super glue and you should be good to go. Works on the radios I fix with keypads anyway.
