    Yeah, call the atf and have your serial number or permit control number ready.

    If you call, it will likely be in a pending status, meaning unassigned to an examiner yet and they won't have a time frame for you. It basically lives in this state for 95% of the time.

    If you filed a form 1, check the eforms website. If a dealer filed a form 4 it won't show up on your eforms log in.

    If you call the ATF, you will talk to a human if you're willing to be on hold for about 45 min. Have your serial number handy and the "agent" on the line will tell you if it's in queue. If it is - that's the end of the conversation and you get to wait until they get a round tuit. If it's not on record then they/you will have to start the party finding it.
