Info on Deer at Caddo National Grasslands Ladonia

Anyone hunt deer in the Caddo National Grasslands Ladonia Unit?

Looking for information about how frequent it is hunted, how often you take game, etc.

Has anyone done duck or dove on any of the public lands and have information regarding how many hunters, etc.

My lease is on the river North of Telephone down to the northwestern edge of the grasslands. We kill deer every year so I know you'll see deer. Back when I hunted the grasslands years ago there wasn't a whole lot of pressure from other hunters but I did have a problem with the PETA crowd. They'd drive in from the metroplex and piss and shit all around out stands.

Also, there is an asshole anti-government nut job who owns a hundred acres or so bordering the East side of the gov't land. He is infamous in the area for harassing hunters.

I went up there for a few years but havent been in a few. Saw one doe. Locals start hunting a bit early up there so you need to be stalking to see much up there. You also need to get in deep.
