    Welcome.

    Moved here from Michigan a few years ago myself. As was stated earlier, apply for the TX LTC and you'll be good. One thing I wasn't sure of at the time, and never really bothered looking into, was carrying with a MI CPL and having TX DL. But it was a quick process, similar to Michigan wait times.

    Out here by the lake!
    Montreal is an island in the St Lawrence river, so 90s and 100% humidity is normal, for a little while anyway, then back to the -30s
    I have been in Houston 36 years & I aint use to it. Even worse is the fact that no long hard freezes & things that might dies off in the great white north thrive here. Don't be surprised to find you have allergies.

    Having moved to Chicago for the warm winters (yes, Monreal is 15 degrees colder than Chicago on average), the heat is welcome. How many people retire up to Canada because it is too warm LOL
