How does this work exactly?

Chick Fil a has 2 drive up windows and 3 order lanes.
The 3 merge into 2 and you go to one or the other pick up window.

How in the heck to they know what order goes where and more importantly, how do they get your order to the outside window?
Some sort of system like the bank uses?

Maybe they have midgets up there running back and forth??

Know they keep a bunch of old fat broke cops well fed for free. We love them a lot GI. Whataburger also has a well earned mansion reserved in Paradise..Right next to Ronald McDonald. To return the favor it would take a dummy to try to arm rob one those places.

Not a tube system like the bank but a tray on chains type of thing so the food isn't delivered upside down at the other end.

Built a store like that years ago but never saw that system in action. There was a rough drawing on the plans where the details for that overhead framing was though.

As far as matching each vehicle with their order the monitoring systems are pretty fancy.
