What is the difference between a H&R 939 "Ultra Sidekick" and a H&R 939 without the "Ultra Sidekick" printed on the barrel? Does the H&R serial number guide apply to all of their guns (rifles and pistols)?

    Anyone parting with one?

    Thanks for any help.

    Welcome to the forum Amigo!

I remember seeing an Ultra Side Kick once at the range. The reason I remember it, it had a button at the base of the hammer that released the cylinder. It was really cool, handy, and fast.

I’ve never seen that on another H&R or any revolver for that matter.

Just a wild guess, but I think they came up with the name, Ultra Side Kick because the cylinder kicks out the side with a press of the button without changing your grip.

BTW- I’ve seen plenty of 939s before and never noticed that button on the hammer before. So I bet that is the difference.

Ok Thank you. I have seen several H&R 939's. Some have UltraSide kick on the side and some do not. I was wondering about the differences
