    so i bought the shotgun for my son yesterday - his graduation gift

    now my question is how do i legally gift it to him? sell it to him for $1?

    that may be tongue in cheek - but you get my point (hopefully)...when I filled out the ATF form - the question about being the actual owner of the weapon......'concerned me'

    am i over thinking this?

    overthinking, if you look on the exemptions on the form it says gift.
