Bought my ticket online tonight for the Friends of NRA dinner and auction at Cleveland on June 27th. If you've never been to one of these events, they are a lot of fun - Good food, good folks, good prizes. You don't have to be a member of the NRA (or anything else) to attend.

If we get some TGT members going, maybe we can meet up at the event.

Curtis Ansley (outdoortexan) is running it and is a TGT member.

By the way, Curtis, I haven't forgotten about that platter of ribs you still owe me!!

Got back from the dinner. Great job by Curtis and the rest of the committee!! Great food (that I ate too much of), great folks, and a lot of great gus!

But you still owe me those ribs, Curtis!

Shotgun and some ok thing for the wife. (ALWAYS try to bring something home for the wife. It makes it much easier to get that kitchen-pass.) They were drawing numbers so fast that I honestly didn't pay any attention to the shotgun when I was filling out the forms for it. Guess I'll find out next week when I go pick it up.

Didn't end up with anything from the auction, but I really, really liked the M1 Garand blueprints. I drove the price up to a point where I didn't want to explain to the wife what I paid and had to drop out.
