I’m sitting on a stripped AR-15 lower, parts kit, and FCG.

Been thinking what to do with it. 9mm/45ACP Pistol, 300BO pistol, 6.5G hunter and 458 SOCOM/450 Bushmaster have all crossed my mind.

I’d like to do something a little different than run of the mill and don’t have any particular needs to fill right now.

Side-charging pistol and a piston upper have both crossed my mind.

    Y’all got any ideas?

May I ask what configuration ARs you already have? As someone who owns all those listed above, the side charging 9mm pistol is the most fun, and cheapest to shoot. Especially if you have a suppressor to go on it.

Flat-tops in .223/5.56 & 300BO are the only thing in the stable right now.

I'm also have stripped lower in need of an upper in different caliber than I already have. Right now I'm thinking 22 Valkyrie or 458 SOCOM.

I'ts going to be both, but which one first? Hmmmm...

My first suggestion is to throw away the trigger group of that LPC and get a drop in from GZP
    Mil spec sucks!

I know I'm late to this party, was otherwise entertained. What's wrong with a simple, though it never is, .22? Does it Need to be a centerfire?

It does not need to be CF; I’d rather pick up an M&P15-22 than build one though.

The hardest part right now is that I don’t really have a need for another AR-pattern rifle. The pistol-cal pistol is intriguing to me, as is a dedicated hunting platform.

If I didn’t have a hunting rig already, I would definitely build a Grendel.
That was my first non 223/556 setup.
