Emerson customer service any good?

Picked up a dirt cheap Emerson CQC-15 recurve tanto today and I may send it in for a rebuild. It's got paint on it and either the blade or pivot pin(I guess it's called) is bent.

Any experience with their CS/turn around times? Called today and a new blade is $110, or deal with it and use it as is. It functions fine just rubs the blade on the frame.

I would try to fix it myself. Take it apart and see if the blade is really bent. If not, replace the pivot and washers.
