Yes, when you register your trailer your plates will say “trailer”

They are still going to charge the hell out of you based on axle weight
My 18 foot with double 5500 lb axles cost me about $65/year I think

Here in Texas while we don’t have personal state income tax, you get raped on vehicle tags, personal property and home tax...

Aint that the truth. All the taxing authorties are some money hungry beeches. I can see why they were hated so bad back in Jesus's human incarnation days. They ranked right up with publicans and sinners on the hate scale back in that era. Or maybe publicans were the dirty dog tax collectors? Sure there are some smart Bible students on here who know for sure.

You must be kidding about vehicle tags. each of my cars are under 80 bucks. In California they were over 450 each

When I go down to pay the extortion fees , I have a good time giving them hell about it.
They hate it when they look up and see me in line

Its a 2000 pound axle so hope its on the cheaper side. I just wanted to get my usmc vet plates on there. And for the record, I am a native Texan. Just felt compelled to say that. Dont want to get mixed up with the riff raff:cool:

I don’t believe you can get Native Texan or crayon eater plates on a trailer. But I could be wrong.

ETA: I guess that would be former crayon eater.

Woah, take it easy Jeep. Don't want to overdo it..........

Kidding. Bet it will serve its purpose well.

You aint kidding. 325 pounds empty and this thing was acting like it was hauling thousands of pounds. Has v6 and 3.73 gears so I could only imagine a 4 banger and 3.21s lol

Impulse bought the jeep after having one as a rental and while I do enjoy the way it drives and it has gotten through some serious mud even with road tires, it:
    Cant pull shit
    Cant haul shit
Makes my wife car sick if she isn't driving

Should have bought another pickup but lesson learned. I still have my ram 1500 but if I could go back, I would buy a commuter car or a pickup with a long bed. Oh well I figure I will just thoroughly use it as much as I can then sell it since they have high resale
