anyone know of property to lease in theTexas panhandle or relatively close

Take some time to visit smaller ranches & meet the ranchers. Many will do a one or two person lease; but don’t care to deal with the general public hunter; nor to advertise.

I had luck doing that when living in West Texas. Go well before hunting season.

    Hope you find a place.

One of the best all-round places I hunted in Texas was out side Whitedeer. Texas. They had Mule deer, whitetail deer, pronghorn antelope, ducks pheasants & quail.

I would look at chamber of commerce in the area first.
thats where I hunt now last two deer I shot was 400 and 600yds there wasnt any deer this year where I have permission to be

    Out here by the lake!
yea thats just about 6 miles north of where I live I hunt about 30 miles south of there
When I was theres last after we left fire swept thru & I heard burned every fence post. The owner had an under ground house & around the above ground building there was a pretty impressive sprinkler system.

I know of a canyon in Amarillo that holds Muledeer the problem is some properties extend into the canyon so hunting it might be a bit iffy! If there was even a little hope I'd have done it by now. And the Pronghorn are out in the bare fields. The place ia a hunters wet dream.

yea the fires here can be a real problem, the blasted wind mills and cotton has hurt the deer hunt the wind mills have changed the flight pattern of the cranes and geese
