Dan Wesson 22 VH8

I recently purchased a Dan Wesson 22 VH8 and then stumbled onto an old ad on Guns International for the very same gun I bought. I don't know too much about Dan Wessons and was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of when this gun was manufactured and what the value might be? Through my own research I believe it was made somewhere from 1986-1991. Also I think the cardboard cover isn't original to the box due to it being a "Wesson Firearms Company" logo and Palmer address. Meanwhile the styrofoam box is a "Dan Wesson Arms" logo and the gun has a Monson marking. Link below is for the gun on GI:

Probably a little older than '86 manufacture.
Check out Dan Wesson forums.
They've got the best SN database around for checking manufacturing dates.
The original records were lost in a fire.
