I have several different CZ models. My favorite is the CZ 75 P-01. Any of these types of handguns are not intended as a range gun. They are designed to be a defense weapon. Every CZ pistol I own has a slightly different trigger feel. I like my P-07 and my SP-01 for a passable range gun. The SP-01 is a heavy firearm. Recoil is tame with it. The P-07 has more recoil, but it is easy to shoot.
I have no personal experience with the Canik line up so I will not comment on it.
    Good Luck.

Dry fired an SP-01, P-07, P10 C and the Canik Tp9sf today and supposed to get to shoot a Canik or two tomorrow. Probably reach a decision in the next day or two

I have a Canik TP9SA. Really good shooting gun. I like the 18+1 capacity. Really like the decocker and to recock just pull the slide back about 1/8 to 1/4 inch and ready to go. The grip feels a little too big for my medium size hands but after about eight or so rounds it is better. Very good gun for the price.

I could be wrong and someone else please correct me but I believe its just the full size model with a longer slide.

I ended up buying a TP9SFX with the Vortex Viper red dot and some extra mags after today's range day. I was very impressed with both the TP9SF I shot today as well as the CZ P-09 so I've decided to just get one of each and am going to try to track down a deal on a P-09 in the next week or two.

It appears to be the uglier sister to what you just picked up. I should really say, the more plain sister.

    When in doubt buy both.

    Canik TP9SFX range report

After sighting in the red dot I was able to quickly and confidently get consistent groupings.

Ran perfectly on 115 grain reloads and factory ammo. 124g factory ammo also cycled fine but I had some Freedom Munitions 124g reman that would not cycle properly. 2-3 jams per 20 round mag with that ammo. I'm inclined to believe it's the ammo as I've had issues with it before. Unfortunately I bought 5000 rounds of it awhile back so still have a few hundred rounds to use

Would you kindly do me a favor. Shoot with it one handed, dominant is okay and preferred, and do a field strip one handed as well.

I've been looking for a 5"+- pistol to add, and need to see if I can do some things with it, like those above before I commit to something. Right now it's between the Bersa XT Pro and this, as leading contenders.

Grouping looks good, and you're not the only only one to have occasional issues with Freedom Munitions stuff.

I did shoot one target one handed so I'll grab that target and take a pic when I get back to the house. Never tried field stripping one handed but I'll give it a shot. Takedown is like a Glock

Okay, field stripping was actually super simple one handed. Had it done in under 30 seconds first try. I'll post the target here shortly

How would one remove the slide from a Glock with one hand?
Fire the gun, grab the slide like you're holding a hammer and the mag well is the head. Depress the takedown buttons with pointer finger and thumb and push the mag well into your chest

Dominant hand target, can we just ignore the two little outliers? Lol

First target was at 15 yards, this one was only at 10

I got a TP9SF for Fathers day and still haven't had a chance to shoot it. Seeing those holes in the targets makes me really want to go now. I'm jealous.
