If you like the small-frame single actions from Cimarron, be advised that they got in a new production run about 2 weeks ago. This is the first time some of them have been in stock in years. The ones going to distributors are mostly going through Zanders or Hicks. Your LGS should be able to order from them. IIRC, Hicks only allows FFLs to order but Zanders may take money from anyone.

No nickel finished guns were in this production run; they're all blued.

I'm not affiliated. I just like the revolvers.

I have 1 each
What do you use for a holster for the Lightning?

Cimarron pointed me to both Kirkpatrick Leather in Laredo and El Paso Saddlery. I'm not finding it listed on the website of either maker but I haven't followed up since it isn't an urgent matter. If I decide I like it, I'm going to need a holster and I can deal with that later.

Maybe try one sized for a Ruger Single Six or Colt 22 New Frontier?
Triple K makes one that size that won’t kill your wallet.

BTW Where in blue blazes is the Model P jr range report?!?!?!?
This caliber of slacking will not be tolerated.

Is the lightning the same size as a Heritage?
I'm under the impression these revolvers are a bit bigger, with bigger cylinders. If I can't find holsters molded for it, I'm going to be looking up a lot of cylinder diameters before I can order a holster.

My first lightning holster was one made for an 1851 Navy (Cap&Ball type).
It took just an afternoon to get a good fit.
